Room 1 is the Reception classroom at Meadowbank School, for all children starting school. When there are 15 children in the class, a second teacher joins the classroom and remains in the Reception class until there are between 25 and 30 children. The second teacher then takes 20 of these children to their own classroom, where they will stay until the end of the year. Generally children are in the Reception classroom between 4 to 8 weeks.
